I am so excited! I just made the most amazing chopped salad with a cool new kitchen gadget called the Toss & Chop created by a company named Silvermark. Wendy Silver is the creator and owner of Silvermark, as well as being a fellow chopped salad lover. She went a step further and created her own line of kitchen tools in an attempt to streamline the process of making chopped salads. I love her story... Wendy is a stay-at-home mom that wanted to recreate a chopped salad that she had had at a Manhattan restaurant, but found it quite time-consuming to make. She developed the famous Toss & Chop and the product landed up on Oprah's Olist! Wendy was nice enough to send me a great goodie bag of all the things I need to create great chopped salads! Thank you, Thank you!
I immediately to check out the Toss & Chop and I have to tell you I LOVE IT! It is so easy to use and really cut down on the time it takes to make a good chopped salad! I also think it is the perfect holiday gift. Wendy also sent me a little cookbook of Chopped Salad Recipes that looks awesome and on her website is a Toss & Chop Gift Set that includes the Toss & Chop with her Chopped Salad Cookbook that comes all wrapped up and ready to go! If you love to make salads.... you have got to check out this website www.silvermk.com
I can't wait to make my next salad!

But on to my first..... I made a Chopped Spinach, Pear, Pistachio Chicken Salad that turned out divine!
Chopped Spinach, Pear, Pistachio, Chicken Salad
2 cups Spinach
1/2 grilled chicken breast
1/2 a red pear
Red Cabbage
Matchstick Carrots
Pistachios
Feta Cheese
I took the spinach and chopped it in the bowl with the Toss & Chop. I then chopped the chicken, pear, and cabbage.... all with the Toss & Chop. Threw in some carrots and dressed in with a little Balsamic Vinegar and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Tossed all together and plated. I added a few pistachios and a sprinkle of feta cheese. Wow!
This is an awesome salad and beautiful to look at as well!
Off to bake....
