Barre3, Braces, + NuNatural Stevia Giveaway

hGood Evening and Happy Thursday!

Today has been a big day for my son Emmet.  He is not only 11 years old but he now has braces!

He went in my little boy.....

and came out my Big Boy.

Doesn't he look older to you??

The cute thing was that he wanted to go back to school and show off his braces to all his friends.

Now the fun begins.  I suspect that he will wake up a wee bit sore and he is already milking me for ice cream.  I did take him to Baskin Robbins for a little treat.  I, of course, offered him a slice of Chocolate  Icebox Pie but since his father divulged my secret ingredient (avocado) he did not want any.  So sad.

More for me:)

Anyhow, Emmet seems to be faring well so far and as I recall it was really the first week that was so bad and then you got used to braces.  Or at least I hope.

On the food front, I have been a bit obsessed with Go Lean Crunch Cereal this week.  I am REALLY trying hard not to buy packaged goods and eat more whole foods but cereal is my weakness.  I try to blame it on the kids but we both know that I like cereal just as much as they do.  It is also a well-known fact that when I was pregnant with Emmet I could not eat enough Rice Chex cereal and with Zoe it was Grape-Nuts and Go Lean Crunch cereal.  Needless to say, I have a hard time giving it up.  My favorite way to eat it is by making Greek Yogurt Bowls topped with Go Lean Crunch and Fresh Fruit.

Greek Crunch Bowl- Kiwi Raspberry

3/4 cup Fage 2% Greek Yogurt (my fav)
3/4 cup Go Lean Crunch Cereal
1 kiwi, sliced
handful of fresh raspberries

Mix it all together and enjoy the creamy, crunchy, sweet and slightly tangy delight.

Greek Crunch Bowl- Strawberry Blueberry

3/4 cup Fage 2% Greek Yogurt
3/4 cup Go Lean Crunch Cereal
2-3 strawberries sliced
handful of fresh blueberries

Enjoy!

I have had this for lunch the past two days and LOVE it.  It is quick and easy and so filling.

Much to my husband's dismay, I still have not found my perfect shade of orange for the Hallway.  I have narrowed it down..... I think.

I like Marmalade and Sweet Orange but my eye spied a spicy, warm red color called Morroccan Spice and had to bring that home as well.  I try to do these project when my husband is traveling or too busy to get involved otherwise I drive him nuts!!

So in between working, taking Emmet to the orthodontist, and going to the paint store I was able to get in a great workout.  I am a huge fan of Barre3 and the owner, Sadie Lincoln.

Sadie is the founder of barre3 exercise studios where she creates classes inspired by three of her favorite disciplines: ballet barre work, yoga and Pilates. Sadie teaches at her flagship studios in Portland, Oregon and trains all barre3 instructors and studio owners worldwide.

I have been to a few classes at the Portland studios and love the workout as well as the concept.  I find it to be a fantastic balance to all my running. I have a hard time making it to the classes due to my work schedule but bought the dvd last year and pretty much know it by heart by now so was super excited to learn that Barre3 is now online.
