Gearing up for the Integrative Nutrition Mega Conference

Good Afternoon and Happy Thursday!

I am gearing up of the big Integrative Nutrition Mega Conference in Long Beach, CA and am slowly getting my ducks in a row.

I have printed my ticket to the conference- CHECK.

Am still working on packing my clothes.  I need my daughter Zoe to help widdle down my choices.  She is my little fashionista and can be quite "honest" with her opinions of my clothes choices:)  Keep in mind she is only 9 years old.  She did however make me purchase these adorable flats from TOMS and I LOVE them.

Are these the cutest little pair of shoes you have ever seen?  And they are comfortable as well.  Bonus.

I am packing my sunglasses and looking forward to using them soon. Sunshine!

I have got my skincare all ready to go.  Have I told you how much I LOVE Image Skincare?  My dear friend Kelli from the Skinspot is also attending the conference and I am looking forward to hanging out with her as well.

I have not decided which Body Butter to take on the trip but am leaning towards the Malibu Lemon Blossom.  Yum.  It smells so good.

I can't live without my Spirulina and Chlorella.

Mags for the airplane ride.

Snacks for the airplane ride.

Doug's NUTS- I received these in the mail the other day and they are pretty darn amazing.  There is a special glaze on the nuts that make them extra special.  I will be blogging more about Doug's Nuts when I get back.

About the Nuts…
Your’re probably asking yourself right now, what’s so special about Doug’s Nuts? I mean, they grow on trees, right? Well, yeah they do. But then the magic begins! Doug selects only the very best almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, pecans, walnuts, peanuts and pumpkin seeds (okay fine, so those last two don’t grow on trees, exactly) and mixes them in a painstakingly precise blend scientifically determined to deliver optimum organoleptic gratification.  And he’s only just begun!  Pure organic sugarcane crystals and blackberry honey from Oregon’s verdant Willamette Valley find their way into the mix, along with organic vanilla extract and pure natural maple flavor.  Is it done?  Are we there yet?  Not by a long shot!  From his glistening white laboratory refrigerator, our audacious Boss Nut pulls out a bottle of Terribly Secret Ingredient.  Glancing about for industrial espionage agents, he pops the cap and pours out a rich brown liquid into his Dr. Science coffee mug (“Trust me, I’m a Scientist!”) and performs a critical taste evaluation before adding to the already potent mix.  Now we’re cooking…. another slosh into the well-used mug and one more for the mix.  Smacking his lips in satisfaction, our culinary hero combines nuts and Terribly Secret Glazing System, stirs carefully, then roasts to perfection.  A pinch of sea salt finishes off the process and Boss Nut can sit back secure in the knowledge that the world is enriched by another batch of Doug’s Nuts.  Maybe just one more Dr. Science mugful before turning off the laboratory lights for the day…..

More snacks-- Goji Berries, Cashews and Jungle Peanuts

Doug's Nuts Mixed with Dried White Mulberries.

And last but not least my VALKIT for Travel.  I now have no excuse not to exercise while I am at the conference.

Okay, I have a ton more to do but I wish all of you a very good weekend and I will be reporting back about the conference very soon!

P.S.-- Don't forget to enter the Silk Fruit and Protein Giveaway while I am gone.

Oh my word, those Toms are ADORABLE! I knew about the new ballet flats line but I hadn't seen those specific ones. Hmm, I guess I know which ones I want now :)

Have a GREAT trip!
